Welcome to Gulf Coast Distributors

Hi my name is Chris Hacker and I am the founder of Gulf Coast Distributors. I grew up fishing the waters off of southern California and Mexico with my father, and developed a passion for offshore fishing for many of the pelagic fish such as Tuna, Wahoo and Marlin. Having moved to the Houston area a few years ago I found that many of the name brands that I was use to buying and using on the west coast were not available in the local Houston tackle stores. So I contacted those companies and am now a distributor for the Gulf Coast area.

Gulf Coast Distributors will link the best products from the west coast to the Gulf Coast fisherman by bringing products built right here in the USA  to tackle shops throughout the Gulf Coast area.  Big names such as SEEKER rods & blanks, AVET reels and IZORLINE are just a few of the names  we will be distributing. Our philosophy is that “you get what you Pay for” and therefore will be a distributor for only the very best products.

Jose Ortega

Grew up in Southern California fishing the local waters on the half day boats and 3/4 day boats. While in high school he started wrapping rods and was truly addicted.
 
After graduating high school back in 1995, he started working for a local distributor selling rod building components. Jose has worked in the rod building distribution industry ever since. In 2009 Jose moved to Texas due to his wife’s work relocation. Jose is now a big part of Gulf Coast Distributors bringing nearly 2 decades of rod building and component distribution experience to our company.
